It can be discarded without a thought; or hung in a museum to be stared at. It's a trivial idea; Cyanide, a beautiful piece of art. She was more undiscovered; maybe. The sky hung over the earth like a blue marble; shining it's beautiful azure over the displaced marble and stone of the land. The frail ruins portrayed an errie sense, but to anyone who resided here it was perfect. Gently eroded, but not enough to make the old palaces crumble but able to give it a definite aged appearance.
That is what called her to this place; it gave her a dark ; peaceful sense. Her eyes would saunter over each formation with care, as if she might break something with her eyes. It had proven to be a hot day today; and the weary eyes of the girl showed. She was stoic in her poise, curious but calculating every thought and move. She allowed her lithe body to move, pushing it's appendages onward, in a gentle march. It took some getting use to; the odd crumbles and delicate stones she stepped over, but it was easily passed by without a second thought. Cyanide breathed in the air; lavishing in the pungent fragrance of life. She could smell no kin; no brethren. Was she alone in the land? Her eyes danced over the place once more, before continuing on.
Her mind was a mixture of confusion; and yet excitement. They had been riled by now, as they did by the most simplest of things. They knew what she really wanted, before she even thought it herself. But there was no one around, no one for her to collapse into. Even as they awakened and tore into her mind, screaming for her, she could ignore it. Quivering her frame, she sauntered on, perhaps in search of water. The place seemed almost dismal, no small rabbit or wolf was in sight; nothing she might fancy a nibble on. Find someone... Anyone... They hissed irritated, and she was rattled by it momentarily; snaring at herself. Obviously she had to find someone, or something soon before her lust became a little too much to handle.

Since the massacre, the lands had become eerily silent. No wolves howled, no pups played, even the birds had gone silent. It was as if the land had died along with the Alphas he had slaughtered in their sleep. But that suited him just fine. He had never been a wolf to appreciate nature or family life. He had no need for those petty things in life. All he needed was himself and the power he held to keep him entertained. Even now, his pack was growing but the lands till remained eerily silent.
He walked across one of the marble floors, scattering pebbles as he did so, their sound bouncing off the still standing white pillars making the lands seem as though they were inside a giant glass dome. His long claws scratching across the floor with mild "ticking" sounds. He could smell the new female just on the other side of the ruins and he was intent on catching up with her. Not that he didn't find newcomers welcoming, considering they be one added solider to his ideals but he didn't like when they entered unannounced. There were too many wolves left that wanted him dead for the crimes he had committed against the lands. For all he knew, this female could be a martyr for her people and was looking to try and kill him.
A grin spread across his face as the she-wolf came into view. He stood up on one of the fallen pillars and looked down at her, his voice echoing around. I don't take to strangers entering my terra unannounced, lightly. His voice was smooth, velvety with a hint of icy poison. The strange calmness he held about his person could only mean that this male was dangerous. He held himself with confidence but was completely relaxed as though he felt no threat from anything. The smirk on his face continued to grow wider as his fiery orange eyes took her in. He could sense the darkness within her mind as it stirred. This female was no threat to him.
Can I ask what the Hell you want? he asked her, lowering himself down onto his belly where he continued to watch her, his tail flicking in mild irritation. Especially if you didn't announce yourself. I could have easily felt... adventurous today and hunted you down, ripping out your throat before I gave you the chance to explain yourself. He grinned at her, a grin that clearly meant he meant what he said. However, I'm feeling merciful today so I'll let you explain yourself first. He turned his head away from her and began to lick clean a blood stain on his right paw as though suddenly finding her rather boring.

Her tail flagged about in an almost happy manner; she could definitely settle for a while here. Enjoying the view she nearly sat down- until her nostrils picked up a new scent. That's when she heard his voice crashing down on her; shooting her head in his direction she twisted her frame to catch him. her tail twitched in irritation at her peaceful moment that had been interrupted. A low growl beckoned to escape from her mouth, just as the voices imploded in her mind again. Can you handle this? They screamed, igniting a flame in her head, and she winced and longed to cry out. You can do something with this excuse of a male... They hissed, sending images she didn't want to see.
She gently twisted her eyes at him, and silenced herself. Already she didn't much care of him; she flicked a nonchalant smile at him, moving her paws so she was almost directly beneath him. He stood with a sort of kingly poise, like he could not be broken down. She laughed dryly, at his words. Love, that's no way to speak to a lady. She purred, pulling her paws so she crouched on her hind legs. She took in his appearance with light, observant eyes. Nothing quite fancy about the male; although his bright coat did happen to appease her eyes. He seemed shrouded with mystery, and even broken.
She listened quietly as he continued, and couldn't help but smirk at his miserable attempt to frighten her. She had been in worse situations, this power hungry male didn't exactly phase her. Ah, well if that's what you call adventurous... Than obviously you don't get out much, do you tough guy? She hissed, gritting her teeth objectively at him, her eyes scanning him, wandering what the effect of her words might be. You seem like you hold some authority, and I'm looking for a place to stay. She stated, raising her head carefully to glance at the sky just above his form. But than again, since your so rude, and have better things to do... She caught her breathe, letting him get the idea. She stood, flickering her tail and waiting with patient eyes, for a response.

She had caught his attention now. He turned away from his foot no longer appearing bored. Good. This female wasn't a pussy. She just about saved her life coming in here and acting like this. He had to admit, her attitude clearly got his attention. He stood up and jumped down next to her, his grin spreading across his face. Welcome to Ilahlari, love. You can call me Nahani. He had to look her over. Any female with a come back snapping attitude always got his attention. It was one of the reasons he was courting Kage. Any female that could spin his head around and turn him on at the same time was enough for him to chase. He supposed he could court two at once if need be... Considering Kage wasn't currently accepting his advances. The more heirs he could produce the less of a chance that his lineage would disappear. Until Kage came around, she would be his new toy.
Nahani had had so many females in his lifetime he couldn't even remember. Before his insanity had completely taken over his mind, when he had some semblance of his old life still with him, he had fallen for a female named Chara and had almost fallen in love but his father had found him once more and released the beast within his mind, turning him from his old self, leaving her raped and broken. He had heard, months later, that she had produced a litter of pups but he had never gone back to see them. He could never show his face before her again. Beside, his old life was gone. What had been the Nahani that had cared for his sister and mother and had wanted revenge for their deaths, was gone. What was replaced was the empty black soulless creature his father had turned him into. He had no feelings for any innocent life, or anyone's life for that matter. He kept to himself and himself only. He was the only one he could find comfort in. His father had made sure of that. He had told him that to feel was to die. So he had learned to shut out all emotions, to let go of his humanity and become nothing short of a ghost, a demon in the flesh with nothing to live for except his own personal pleasures.
As Alpha of these lands, I have the privilege to accept or deny those who enter upon my lands without justified cause. You would be a great asset to my pack so I have no reason to chase you off. If you accept, I'll gladly accept you into my home and allow you to sleep beneath the same sky as me. But, if you refuse, you might want to get a good head start before I'm feeling less than merciful.

Cyanide sat down again calmly; listening. So, the big bad wolf decided to be a little kinder, she realized. See, now was that so hard? I'm Cyanide. She replied once he was done speaking. She watched his eyes carefully, he seemed to be thinking; of what, she hadn't an idea.
Well yes, I wouldn't mind joining you here. She flipped her head higher to the sky, wanting to give him a smart remark; about how technically everyone slept under the same sky-- But she didn't. Instead she looked over at him again, a smug expression dressed on her face. So, what's your story? She whispered, noticing how blunt, and maybe uncalled for it was; but she wondered what he would say. Obviously if anyone had something that needed to be told, it'd be him. She could see past his tough demeanor; his eyes might speak about what he was thinking. And hey, if he didn't want to tell her he could just kill her, problem solved.

He chuckled at her bold words. Clearly she hadn't been born and raised in these lands, she didn't know why the lands were divided and she didn't know his main purpose in the war that ravaged the lands. She was a blank slate waiting to be turned onto his side and that was the best thing he could get for his pack. My story? he asked with a chuckle. It starts here, in this pack, where I was adopted in and practically worshiped. They treated me as their savior, as their God. They offered me power within their pack and asked if I would take over when my adoptive parents perished. I agreed. What was a little twisted tale? Would she know the true story? Would she know he took great pleasure in taxing the pack for everything they had just for a promise that he would lead them to greatness? His bet was no but either way, if she caught him cheating, no big deal. He'd either kill or chase her off to join the packs of wolves who already hated him. Either way, no big loss.
He mocked a saddened face as he continued, his ears folding back and a frown crossing his face. But how was I to know that they meant me real harm from the beginning. They meant to sacrifice me, to awaken the sleeping deity soul within my so called, "Fleshy prison". They meant to rip out my heart and devour my flesh but I caught on to their treachery and did the only thing I could do save myself, I killed them and all those who saw their ideals as well. He gave a rather dramatic sniffle as though the very memory pained him. And now the pack is split against those who hate me and wish to kill me, and those who see the real me and want to protect me. Of course, I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say I choose life over the well being of a few believers.
His sadness was suddenly gone as he turned back to her with a smile. I went from being a nobody to being an Alpha and if you stick with me, I'm sure you'll become something or other. The pack is pretty small at the moment but I'm sure that will change quick. He stood up and stretched. The sun was already setting and his stomach was grumbling rather loudly. He hadn't hunted yet today. It would be rude of me to leave just now so I assume you're hungry? Care to join me in a hunt?
Nahani was known for his cruelty, for his mercilessness and his blood lust but he hadn't always been that way. He had been born an innocent, happy and playful pup and had even learned to love his mother and sister. He had been like any other male growing up, adventurous, brave, a little mischievous but he was always ready to stand up and protect his mother and sister if anything threatening came along. He was honest and loyal and was often times charming. But, when his mother and sister were raped by the same male who had muscled in to call their small pack his, Nahani began to notice the hatred in his soul. It didn't fully show itself till he found his sister's broken body at the bottom of a waterfall and his mother's corpse ripped apart by the same male who had raped her. Using the anger he felt in his soul, he went after the male, intent on killing him. However, his inexperience got the best of him and he was found, nearly dead, by his biological father who took him in and told him that to hold onto his humanity, to love and to care for someone, was the reason he had almost died. From then on, the wolf who had been Nahani had died there in the snow. This was a new Nahani, a male who embraced the darkness that swallowed him and used it to his advantage. He cared nothing for anyone and barely for himself and only cared about gaining the ultimate power, no matter how he had to go about doing it.
