Kiss my eyes...
A warm breeze swam through the air, brushing past the tree tops and through the blades of green. Clouds were becoming scarce, revealing a bright blue sky beyond their haze. The sound of water filled the air, a calming sound that could lull even the most hyperactive being to sleep if they truly listened. With a flick of her ears, the creature in the shadows watched the land. She had only stopped for a moment to survey upon coming across the scent of others. To live alone, she had to be alone, and that couldn't be accomplished should she bump into more of her kind. They would only inquire of why she looked so filthy or why she should cross their borders.
The female snorted and stared onward, watching the water further ahead lightly bubble and flow through the carved out landscape. She didn't know why, but Ivora always felt drawn to watery scenes. It could have been because her late family enjoyed them so much and it was a mental stimulation for her tired soul. Whatever the reason, she wouldn't deny herself a rest beside such a scene. After she had gathered her strength again, she would follow the water away and never return, continuing on as a loner until she finally couldn't go on anymore and gave her body to the earth. She had decided on this fate after her children's death and that was how it was.
Upon seeing no one else near by, her colored paws shifted and she slowly moved out of her cover. She inhaled, not detecting any immediate scents to be worried about. There were others around, but at a safe enough distance to where if they got stronger, she could bolt before they arrived. Her legs brought her down to the water and with one more look around, Ivora sunk her front legs into it, the cool liquid engulfing her forearms and lapping at her chest. She dipped her head down and drank heavily, relishing the cold water as it quenched her harsh thirst. After drinking, the wolf lunged in without warming, complete submerging herself. A moment or two passed before she leaped out, her entire body dripping. Her body shook hard, spraying the now dirty water everywhere. She shook again and again until she was no longer completely dripping.
With a huff, the she-wolf glanced over herself and frowned. The grit she had collected in her travels was mostly gone, but her thin pelt still clung to her tall, thin form. She wasn't starved, but it was obvious she wasn't pampered in the least. Forcing herself to look away, Ivora eyed a strange green plant just by the shore of the river. She walked over and flopped down beside it, letting the newly arriving sun warm her fur and dry up whatever water remained. Her mitch-matched lemon lime eyes turned to the flow beneath her paws as her memories took advantage of her stillness. She remembered Tidus and Jaxian and Aerin and even Aurora. All of them dead. She refused to think of the others. Although, in her travels she had met one who hadn't been completely bad. The male had helped her through her angriest depression, though he probably never realized it. Her attraction for him scared her, however, and she fled the next day. There was no telling if her feelings remained, and as she closed her eyes, she willed all of her thoughts away to leave her a solitary moment of peace.
...And lay me to sleep.

Everything was calm.
The soothing serenity was washing over him in creek, making him feel oddly dizzy. His heart felt like it was slowing down, beating at a steady and calm rate, and it felt to him as if it had been turned to glass - smooth, but tense and fragile at the same time. It felt blank. Like the rough edges of it had been smoothed by the sea.
Venix shook his head furiously to try to clear his head. When the tranquil feeling did not leave him, he sighed in resignation and slipped further into the meadow. There were worse things than calm that a field could make you feel. He might as well take advantage of this peace while it lasted. Sure, it could be a design to lure him in unawares, but he needed a bit of relief from life.
Taking a breath of the clear air, the crimson hued wolf gazed around the meadow with dark eyes. His paws, colored with blood and dread, trod wearily on the soft grass. Ah, peace at last.
Just then, Venix caught a slight movement out of the corner of his eye. Turning, he thought he had just imagined it. He took another breath to be sure - no, there was definitely a wolf-scent here. Now he could make out a form. The other wolf's fur was a white color, almost like hers, the female he once had odd feelings for.
Knowing that he wasn't exactly the correct color to blend in with the vibrant greens of the field, the crimson male decided to take a direct approach and speak with this wolf. He trotted forward, slow enough to be taken as a harmless advance, yet fast enough to cover ground quickly. If he was to be seen now, he didn't want to waste time on getting to the other wolf.
Pausing a few tail-lengths ahead of the white stranger, Venix dipped his head slightly in greeting. Looking at the other wolf gave him an eerie sense of déjà vu. Another meadow with a drug-like effect on one's senses, another female standing before him, another chapter of his life. Shaking himself from the past, Venix blinked and studied the reality before him. Too late to run away now. "Ah... hello. My name is Venix." Eh, an idiotic introduction. No wonder he preferred not to open his mouth in the first place. Sitting down lightly, the dark wolf lowered his crimson and gold tails to the ground, hopefully submissive.

The sound of the river was so soothing it nearly made Ivora drift into slumber. Closing her eyes, the wolf listened to her surroundings. Everything seemed to be so peaceful now. All of the hardships of the past would be soon forgotten at this rate. And honestly, that was all she wanted. She wanted the search for her family to end, the pain that pierced her heart from the death of her boys, the surprise of her mate leaving for no apparent reason. She wanted it all gone, to melt away like mist on a hot day. The search was over, but in her heart she wished to go on. There was no reason to look any further. It was hopeless.
The sound of pawsteps drew her from her dreamy trance. Her miss-matched eyes snapped open in surprise. Had she been so feeble minded that she couldn't detect the presence of another far away anymore? She could have sworn she was safe a moment ago. Shuffling her paws, the wolf pushed herself up from her laying position quickly. It was too late for flight now, she realized with irritation. Staring at the visitor, the fur on her shoulders began to rise. 'It's a male.'
Men. They had destroyed her. Destroyed her sons, left her alone as a lone mother. They had ruined everything. And here was one now, pushing himself into her presence. Her memories came spiraling back. But sadness didn't accompany them; only anger now. Ivora watched him closely, the way he moved, the sway of his fur, the glint in his eyes. No ill intention seemed to mark him. Yet. But something in the back of her mind told her to wait. Not too long ago her feelings had began to dissolve, to lessen, but not by any means fade. She understood that not all of them were evil now, thanks to an intervention from her fathers spirit, but it was still difficult.
This male was very strange looking to her. His pelt was a deep crimson with white crawling up his legs and face accompanied by yellow. And his eyes. They seemed to glow in the suns rays, illuminating his pelt brilliantly. They were red like his fur and appeared nearly daunting in look. Whats more that caught her attention was his extra appendages. He had three tails instead of one. Never before had she seen anything quite like that. Blinking, Ivora pushed the thought away. She studied him closely, watching this new and strange company she had. There was another pull in the back of her mind, however she hadn't the slightest clue what it meant. Uncertainty closed around her as she stood there.
Venix? The she-wolf watched his posture; how he sat and how he dipped his head. He seemed polite, like very few she had met before, but one never knew what was a show and what was real. Forcing the fur on her shoulders to flatten, Ivora held back the growl she wanted to release in warning to him. He hadn't done anything wrong, so there was no reason to be hasty. Just yet, anyway.
"I'm Ivora," she replied, voice guarded. Her name was all he needed to know. But yet, the wolf couldn't help but stare into his eyes. Shimmering and dazzling in the light. There was something there. 'Stop it.' There was a no need to think such thoughts. Her main concern was his intentions. Was he from a pack? A loner like her? She needed more information.

Venix let out a short sigh of relief as the other wolf stood there without being to aggressive. So, he wasn't trespassing onto a territorial pack's lands. Either that, or this female wasn't worried about a stranger crossing into his home due to the fact that the meadow was probably making them both a bit passive. The white wolf tried to remember if he had caught scent of any border markers. He couldn't recall any, but then again, his sense of judgment felt a little odd with the soothing effects of this area.
"Ivora, interesting" the crimson and gold wolf stated. His rich dark crimson eyes contrasted startlingly with his pelt as they drifted to stare at the meadow they were in. Venix turned his gaze to the rolling expanse of grass as well, studying the seemingly normal scenery. If it's so usual, then, what's causing this complete sense of calm?
The female seemed to be a little on edge, though Venix was not to sure why, maybe there was something deep down inside. "Odd place this, isn't it?" he said, his voice shaking Venix out of his reverie. The blood hued wolf flicked his bushy tails. He rose to a fuller height and looked around. The land was something that Venix had never seen before. He narrowed his eyes towards the cliffs that were high above them
"Calm yourself, I am not here to hurt you, I wouldn't dream of hurting a female." he replied softly. No, nothing that had instilled this sense of serenity in him, not like this. After all, how many meadows around here made you calm when you stumbled into them? There had to be something at this place that made him calm.

Twitching her ears ever so slightly, Ivora realized just how stiff and rigid she was standing. She must've seemed odd to Venix. Then again, why did she really care what he thought of her? She was a lost cause. Blinking and taking a breath, the wolf forced herself to relax. Her shoulders drooped as she did so and her body seemed to ease down. Being relax felt much more comfortable than being on edge. But then again, Ivora had every right to be skeptical of him. He was a male, afterall.
As he spoke her name, Ivora twitched and swiveled her ears once again. Her name was interested, yes, but so was his. She watched as he turned his head to look around. He seemed so calm and lax. Was he not the slightest bit daunted that someone was here with him? Still, Ivora turned her eyes away from him briefly to also study the landscape. The sun shone on the grass and the breeze was very refreshing. Her tension seemed to melt away as she looked around. Was that all it took? Just looking at the scenery could calm someone? Ivora never thought of that, though she could have sworn it had happened to her before another lifetime ago.
When Venix spoke again, Ivora turned her eyes back to him. "It is," she agreed, her tone less tense and more relaxed. How could looking around have such a big impact? Nevertheless, it did. She felt better already. But no matter how much the land seemed to soothe her unease, memories still crashed into her like a full moon tide; strong and painful. She could never be too relaxed around males, not after what happened to her and her children. She had to force the thoughts away. Remember, not all men are bad. Not all men are bad. Not all.
The softness in his voice took her off guard once again. Ivora blinked. He said he meant no harm, but actions spoke louder than words to her. Even with this theory, though, Venix seemed to be alright. Not once had he growled, bristled, or spoken sharply. Even his posture was semi-submissive. Narrowing her eyes thoughtfully, Ivora gave a small nod. She'd give him a chance to prove himself worthy of her company and temporary trust. But the second he turned to aggression, she'd move on and out. In the long run, you might as well get to know him a little. "So," she began shakily, her voice becoming steadier as she went on. "what brings you here?"

Venix's half-smiled at the other wolf's - what was her name again? Oh, right, Ivora's - voice, letting it flicker across his features. The soothing aura of the land made him too passive to laugh yet had a consistent pull on the corners of his mouth. Then he nodded, understandingly, at the statement that followed. He wouldn't like to be the only one feeling this, either. Though he supposed it wouldn't have worried him, considering this meadow was soothing his fears.
Which was why Venix didn't feel defensive when the white female asked, "what brings you here" Ivora seemed to look around slightly, and the crimson wolf imagined that she would see the northern grasses, or the sweet flowers near the boarder. Probably not, as he had been traveling for a while. "I am alpha of the lands, and felt the need to roam from my den where i spent most of the time, no other reason to come out since i dont have many members"
"and you," Venix replied with a slight dip of his head. He curled his tails languidly around his gold and red forepaws as his dark red eyes seemed to lose their focus. They were looking at other things. Moments of the past. "I... come from the east," he began slowly. This peacefulness was making him dull. Trying to shake off the fog of both the meadow and his memories, vice spoke clearly. "I've been wandering south-east for quite a while now, searching for members. Roaming the land on my own won't do me much good." He gave another slight smile. Perhaps this would be a repeat of before, though with better luck. Perhaps this white wolf could offer him a friend. Still, he didn't want to get his hopes up too soon.

The vibe she was getting from Venix was something Ivora hadn't felt in a long time. He seemed to be completely calm and with no ill intent like she had assumed earlier. The way he spoke, the way he moved, the look in his eyes; it all seemed to be on the list of things she had least expected. Someone else before her former partner had been like this, but who? Twitching her tail, Ivora allowed herself to sit as well, her own feelings beginning to ease. The calm was something that threatened to take her over almost completely. She'd never felt a calm quite like this.
Her eyes turned back to Venix as he spoke and her ears flattened. He was the alpha? Inhaling, the she-wolf caught his scent and mentally scolded herself. Of course, he smelled of the border. She should have known. "Forgive my... intrusion of your land. I am a loner," she replied with a simple nod. "I've never been part of a pack." Turning her eyes away from him, Ivora looked around again. What on earth was causing them to be so... peaceful? It got on her nerves. She wanted to be able to show her true emotions, her unease and slight rigidness. But at the same time, this was probably for the better. This Venix, as he said his name was, was starting to warm up to him like she had another. Ivora herself hadn't realized this yet.
He was speaking again? Blinking, Ivora turned to look at him once more. "I've been wandering for what feels like ages," she sighed. The wolf was surprised with how easily she was spilling all this out to him. It felt odd, but somehow, Ivora knew she needed this. He was the alpha after all, and deserved to know some things about her. "I'm not really sure what direction I came from. I seem to always be wandering in circles but never in the same place." Twitching her tail, the wolf began to think. Was looking for a pack worth the trouble? Maybe it was. The company of those you know, the joy of having friends, the safety you felt among the ranks. Yes, she decided. Maybe it was worth it, but truly? With everything she knew gone? Taking a breath, Ivora said, "I do not know if I could offer up myself as a member to your pack, Venix. I have been alone for so long, I fear I wouldn't coop well being surrounded by others. It's... not exactly my specialty to be happy and friendly all the time."

The soft white ears of Venix flickered as the sounds of birds filled the afternoon air. He took in a deep breath and then he rolled his shoulders some as he sat there just enjoying the sounds and smells of the plains that were before him. He shook his head as he heard the voice of Ivora. He looked at her with dark crimson eyes. So that had been the reason why she was not aggressive towards him, well she was but not in a pack member aggressive way. He looked at her as she said something about never being part of a pack, so she was a loner from the start, something Venix had been till just a few month ago.
He watched her as she as well looked around. She also had been taken over by the tranquility of the plains. Something neither of them could grasp, though he could tell it bugged ivora deeply while it hadnt really bothered Venix to much. He rather enjoyed the calm. He yawned and then shook his head slightly as he wished to do something of interest now. He looked around the area, there wasnt much to do, but then again he had a female that was before him. He could play with her some more. Oh how fun of a game that was. He had done it once, though it turned into something more.
Her pelt was of red and black with a spash of white, her eyes a lovely yellow gold color. Oh how her frame was a sight to see but her personality was what got to Venix. He snorted and then shook the image of the last wolf that he had accually fell for out of his mind. he looked at the white female that was before him and smirked some. He would play his game with her for a while longer and see how far he could go. He heard her say something about her not really know what direction she used to follow. He contiued to listen to the white hued female go on about her just wandering and then able to smell the packs.
He could tell that there were others around but he hadnt really been to thrilled about going and finding them. He had other things that he wanted to do, like stay a loner and feel how it felt to be alone and not follow rules and listen to some one bark orders. He then nodded "Well you need not to offer something to the pack Ivora, your presence alone is good enough for me" He spoke softly and then looked towards the area where the creatures where. His ears flicked some as he sat there just looking towards the horizon, he heard her say something about being friendly and happy all the time, he smirked. It was fine for that since he himself wasnt that happy and friendly either. "that is fine, i myself am not happy and friendly all the time"

The flirting game was something Ivora wasn't used to and probably wouldn't pick up right off. She was used to being straight forward, not picking around the bush. Yet she had never really been a flirt either. Ears twitching, the female looked back at Venix. Everything seemed to have it's pros and cons. If you lived in a pack, you'd be surrounded by others, but you'd also be ordered around. Very few people could order Ivora around and get her full cooperation. Those were the wolves she had been looking for and practically given up hope on, knowing of their departure from the world.
So just hanging around without contributing to anything was fine by his standards? He must have a pretty chill pack to get away with that. To her, living by your own rules was more enjoyable than being ordered around. Orders just annoyed her. The more she thought, the more inviting the life of a loner sounded. Taking a breath, Ivora once again tried to calm herself. The scenery was helping, but she rather calm herself on her own then being locked in a trance that did it for her. Blinking, she looked at Venix. Her gaze was averted to his eyes again. Why couldn't she stop looking at them? They certainly were brilliant. Ivora forced herself to look away and around the scenery. There wasn't much to do now besides exchange words. She was bound to fall asleep out of boredom if all they did was sit there.
Standing up, the white wolf gave a stretch, her haunches and legs trembling with the effort. Turning away from the open meadow, Ivora faced herself with the river. Padding forward, the wolf felt a shiver run up her spine as she dipped her paws into the cool, rushing water for the second time that day and made her way to the shallows. Standing in the water completely, she scanned it as it gurgled and rippled just below her belly. Ivora lowered her muzzle and began to drink, thinking of what they may be able to do. He was the alpha, he could rightly do whatever he wished. Glancing over her shoulder, she replied, "Well, I guess it's good to know I'm not alone in that factor."

Vice watched the white vixen carefully. He had to find some kind of weakness, something that would make her melt in his paws. He looked around and smirked some as he seen a field of wild flowers. He padded over to them and sniffed around in the flowers, finding the perfect one, he picked a flower and padded over to where she was when he walked off. She was gone, he looked around and then seen her walked over to the creek and smirked as he seen her in the water drinking. She was stunning, rather breath taking really. He took in a deep breath and then walked over to her.
He stepped lightly in the cold water. He shivered and then tensed slightly as the cold ran up his body. He growled slightly and then knelt down and placed the flower behind the white vixen's ear. he rose to his feet and smiled. "there we go, that brings out your stunning green and yellow eyes" he said as he looked at her. He then padded out of the water and flicked his ears. He wasn't to fond of the cold water, it seemed to lower his body temp to low to his liking. He looked at her softly as he stood on the bank.
She was breath taking. Though his voice was not heard he couldn't not help but see the vixen haunt his mind once more. He flicked his ears back and then turned and headed towards the forest. He needed to get something in his system. He flicked his ears and then pounced on a very small rabbit. He sighed and then ripped the rabbit in half and ate half and then carried the other over to the vixen. He laid it down with a blood stained maw and smirked. He figured it was a quick way to earn her trust even faster, He knew that she was probably hungry if she had not stoped for food.
"Here, I only needed half" He said as he nudged it closer to her. He knew that he could win her over with the kindness that he showed his last crush. He licked the blood from his face and then sat down and curled his tails around his white paws and then finally laid down and crossed his paws over each other and laid his head down for a rest. He knew that he would never actually sleep but it would be a change of pace for the fast moving male. "Aye, though my pack will be full of others like us hopefully, I dont normaly take kindly to tresspassers but for you i shall accept you into my pack lday Ivora" he said as he lifted his head up slightly.

As the she-wolf lapped at the water, the calm of the area brought back the more peaceful memories. She thought of the times when her boys had been curled up around her, snoring lightly in their sleep. The way they pressed themselves close. Ivora had loved staying awake just to watch them sleep, just to watch their sides rise and fall gently. Her eyes clouded as she remembered and before she knew it, Ivora had closed them. Closing her jaws, the wolf gave a shake and yawned. She shouldn't get too comfortable. Venix was still around and she didn't know too much about him.
A splash caught her attention and she looked up and behind her. Venix was carrying a.. flower? Blinking in confusion, she stood stiff as he walked over and laid in behind her ear. She tried to look up to see how it looked, but did so to no avail. The only way she'd be able to see it is if she pulled it off and looked. But then she wouldn't be able to to put it back on. Someone else had done something like this before... Sighing, she listened to him speak. "Thank you," she murmured awkwardly. Ivora wasn't used to getting compliments.
She watched carefully as he turned and stalked away toward the more woodlen area. Twitching her ears - not enough to knock the flower down -, Ivora wondered what he was up to. He'd already given her a flower, what next? Shivering, the wolf was reminded that she still stood in cold water. Shuffling her paws in the icy water, Ivora drew herself out and onto shore. She shook - again, careful not to disrupt the flower - and sat down with a sigh. Inhaling, the she-wolf sat up sharply as a tang of blood waffered by her nose. She looked around, confusion lighting her gaze, before Venix came into view again. Her ears pricked as he set the rabbit down. She thanked him again, still awkward, before crouching down to nibble at it. Ivora hadn't eaten in awhile, so the morsel tasted very good to her. When she finished, she licked her muzzle clean and glanced at Venix.
Again, his eyes drew her in. What was so compelling about his eyes? Why was she always drawn to their stunning red color and brilliant hue? There was somewhere, deep down, and hint of familiarity she couldn't quite place. Blinking, Ivora tore her eyes away and looked at the water, eyes distant. The last thing she needed was to get herself lost in men. The one who stole her heart left her in pain and she had given up ever again finding another to trust her soul with. She couldn't let it happen again...
With a twitch of her ears, she murmured, "I am... grateful for your kindness. Although I cannot promise to be exactly social, I won't be a troublemaker so long as others leave me be. I prefer to be on my own." She sighed. "However, I thank you for your acceptance of me so... quickly, even seeing that I am not a very sociable one."

The blood hued male laid there looking at the vixen that now laid before him. He had to woo her some how. But how would he go about it, she wasnt like the others, she was different some how, she was not as easy to get to fall easy. She had barriers, ones that Venix had to break down. he rose to his paws and flicked his ears back and then snorted some. He would have to step up his game a little bit more. He had think of something and had to think quick. He turned his head as the scent of more wolves filled his nose. He narrowed his eyes and then growled. The scent of her filled the air.
He shook his head and then snorted. This was no time to reminisce about the old days. He had other things to attend to. He licked his maw and then walked towards where he could try to at least win the female over. He looked around and sighed, this damned area was getting on his nerves, it held nothing to win a female. He slashed at the ground and flicked his ears. Stupid land, I wanna go back home, it was easier there[/b] he thought as he finally sat down and flicked his ears. He then got up and began to head back to where Ivora was. he would just have to win her over with the words that he used to gain her heart. He walked back over to her and laid down next to her.
He began to carefully clean the blood from the side of her face. he would have to be on his toes just in case she decided that he was doing something that she didn't like. But then again, Venix was a rather fast wolf, he was able to out run any wolf that he had came face to face with. He continued to clean the female softly, he then moved to the top of her head and nipped at her softly as he smirked. Soon he rose to a sitting position and began to clean the rest of Ivora, at least to what he could reach and knew what he get away with. He had heard her say thank you and he bowed his head "it was no problem at all. And not to worry, i dont expect you to just instaly be social with the pack members. And how could I allow something as precious as you slip threw my paws only to get caught by another male?" he asked as he smirked some.

For now, his eyes were the only thing that could even be considered "attracting her". There was just something about him. Now, Ivora did think he was a nice looking male, if not a little strange at first, but again, there was her mental block that most men were bad. So no matter how pretty he looked, she still blocked things out. Her ears twitched at the sound of his growl, making her fur stand up. Her eyes snapped toward him, losing their mystified look and turned to flint. Narrowing them suspiciously, she watched as Venix looked the other way. So he wasn't growling at her; it was something else. Still, Ivora stayed tense for a few moments longer before slowly relaxing.
As Venix walked away, the she-wolf's eyes followed him carefully. He seemed to be thinking about something. Snorting, she turned her eyes away. Whatever he was thinking about was of no concern to her. Raising one of her paws to her head, she felt around gently for the flower he had propped behind her ear. When she touched the stem, Ivora froze, careful not to knock it down. She put her paw back on the ground and stretched.
Venix was returning now and the she-wolf watched him again. As he laid down next to her, Ivora felt herself stiffen. When she felt him begin to clean her, she held back from flinching away from him. She wasn't used to this treatment. Why was he doing this? What did the alpha of a pack have to gain from grooming his newest member?
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and let out a soft growl of annoyance. She stopped it short before glancing at him again as he continued. Moving her muzzle to his chest, she gently nipped at the fur there. She didn't bite, didn't seek out skin to grab; she just nipped at the fur. Twitching her ears, she paused. What was she doing? Blinking, Ivora put her head on her paws and narrowed her eyes toward the trees. Venix's strange gestures were making her head spin and bringing back a primal urge to be around another. This wasn't right. Why was he acting so friendly? Her claws dug into the ground and she closed her eyes. Without warning, she pushed her side into his and sighed. 'Oh wow, his coat is so warm,' she thought, taken by surprise. Her shorter fur pressed against his longer pelt felt good. She let him continue grooming her and opened her eyes half-way, staring out toward the meadow. 'What is wrong with me...'
However, the revere her instincts had allowed to settle now dissipated at his words. She drew away from him, her fur leaving his, as she eyed Venix. As precious as her? She studied him, now beginning to see what she had allowed to pass before her without notice. Her ears slanted back, never disturbing the flower, as she stood up. He was trying to woo her. Ivora huffed out a single note of cruel laughter before looking away. "Trust me, it won't happen. I will not fly into the paws of another. That part of me is long gone and dead, never to be revived." Her eyes narrowed. She should just leave right now, but somehow, she couldn't.

The male looked at the white and multi colored female with soft eyes. Something that Venix rarely did, though he used them when playing his game. He flicked his ears back and then shook his head slightly as he laid there with her next to him. He then felt her lean against him and it took his breath away almost. He looked down at her and smiled. He licked the top of her head and then rested his head over her neck and laid his paws over hers and pulled her closer to him as he went to go for a small rest. He could use it after so much happening today. He soon was drifting off into a light slumber. His ears were folded back against his head as he laid there.
Enter Dream
Early spring winds were sweeping over the valley. Venix was running so fast that he didn't see the hole in the ground and fell into it. He popped out and looked around and soon started to laugh, as he climbed out she appeared in front of him and they wrapped around each other and were motionless for many minutes. Soon something ripped them apart and vice was sent flying back. He snarled as he hit the ground. He got up and looked around. He began to call out for her. But there was no answer. he whined and then went running, he had to find her. He whined and then stopped and watched as he seen her body falling from a cliff.
Leave dream
He awoke breathing hard and looking around frantically his ears flicked around his head as he looked around. He was confused and sighed as he laid there. He looked down at the female that he was laying with and shook his head. Damn it, I hate that dream he thought as he laid there. He then went back to licking the female's head. He then nudged her slightly with his nose and licked her cheek. "See i told you i wasn't going to hurt you ivora" he said as he laid there with her. He then rose to his feet and stretched out some as he needed to move around a bit. He walked around and stretched his legs and then walked back over to the female and smiled.
He laid back down and went back to grooming the female. He wanted to gain her trust and the only way he knew how to do it quickly was to groom her and just be tender with her. he then nipped at a tuff of fur that was some what matted and pulled it free and smiled as he licked her cheek again and looked out at the meadow that he walked threw many times and leaned against Ivora slightly as he watched as the evening sun began to set. He always had liked to watch the sun set and the sun rise in the early morning. It was a calming to Venix, which not many things where. though his relaxed sitting was pulled away as she moved away and he heard the harshness in her voice and he lowered his head and foldeds his ears agasint his head. "I didnt mean it like that Ivora, It came out wrong, I ment precious as in how you are not like the other wolves i have met. I am sorry Ivora honeset" he whinned as he rose to his feet
Great there he went and messed it all up. He was so stupid for speaking like that to her, he knew that he had to dance around how he acted with her, she was different then the other females and it was beinging to drive Venix nuts till he figuired out what it was about her that sent him spinning

Ivora didn't meet his eye. She couldn't. Her miss-matched eyes stared at the ground, mind swirling like a tropical storm building up to a hurricane. She was so lost, so unsure. Venix was causing all of this. He was causing the storm within her. Closing her eyes tightly, Ivora continued to allow him to groom her. And then he paused before putting his head over her neck. She froze, eyes opening into wide plates. She looked at her paws as his covered hers and he pulled her closer. She wanted to move away, to steer clear from him, but Ivora felt frozen. She couldn't move. Her mind screamed at her to do something, but her body turned a mute ear to it and lay still under him.
She took a breath before closing her eyes. The gentle sound of Venix in his sleep seemed to sing her into her own slumber. Memories shrouded her mind. A handsome blue, orange and white male was with her. He was laying with her like Venix was: his paws over hers and his head over her neck. She was loving every moment of his touch, his scent, his warmth. Two smaller figures were curled up between them, snuggling closer to share the couples warmth. And then the vision snapped to another like a flash of lightning. The male standing and leaving without a word. Did she sense sorrow?
Ivora was still asleep when Venix spoke. "See, I told you I wasn't going to hurt you, Ivora." His voice seemed to mingle with another male voice. It was Waves', her previous mates voice that had joined in. The wolfs breathing quickened, her mind beginning to spin again even as she slept. Everything seemed to happen again. Wave's departure, the rogue attack and finally, Ivora drowning in her own sorrow.
As Venix came back and laid beside her once more, she woke up. Red and orange dappled the ground as the sun set. Ivora's fur stood on end as she once more felt Venix groom her. Flinched, she pulled away sharply from him. She was trembling, a haunted look in her eyes, as she pulled her paws closer to her belly. Ivora looked away, ears flattening. This was wrong. She was confusing Venix for Wave in her dreams. No one could ever steal her heart and rip it from her again. She wouldn't allow it. Even with this mind set, though, Ivora couldn't help but want to return to his side. She stayed in her spot, fur raised and body shaking.
Why should she want to be beside him though? He was trying to win her over like a prize. Though he tried to explain, Ivora was tempted to let the explanation fall on deaf ears. Turning her head away sharply, she closed her eyes, biting her lip. This was too soon, too much for her. Venix's kindness was getting to her; taking effect like she had never thought it would. "The last male that treated me like this..." The words seemed to stick in her throat like a lodged bone.
Ivora shook her head violently, as if trying to make this all go away. All she wanted to do right now was hide under and rock and never come out, to avoid anyone and everyone, pack and all. But she was shivering; her body screamed for warmth. Venix's fur had been soothing and hot against her and it felt wonderful. Yet Ivora couldn't pull herself to lay by him again. She sat there, trembling still, and watched as the sun set, turning everything orange and red. "If you say so..." she muttered with uncertainty, emotions waging war deep within and a fire of determination surrounding her heart, not letting anyone through.
